What Jean Loup does
Three disciplines, built over a career that moved from engineering control systems to advising the C-suite, and grounded in a managing-partner background in the legal space where regulation and liability are read as fluently as architecture.
Strategic guidance for executives and boards on cyber, privacy and AI risk, framed in the language of business rather than technology. Analysis built to be acted on, not filed.
ISO 27001 and the management systems that turn compliance into commercial advantage. Lead auditor since 2009, across finance, defense and critical infrastructure.
Threat-risk modeling, cloud and SaaS strategy, and the protection of industrial and critical systems, from trading floors to control rooms.
The record
In their words
A unique blend of deep technologist and thorough assessor. I could always count on him, even in the most complex situations, to catch every risk and put it in terms ready for executive consumption. His analysis was regularly used by the global CISO, and on occasion forwarded to the firm's CIO.
His attention to detail has allowed us to bridge the gap between technology and strategic governance. Involved in several large-scale projects, you can count on him even on extremely tight delivery times.
A top-tier professional who delivers high quality performance that customers want again and again. Always keeping business objectives, risk and culture in mind, he provides optimal value in every single mandate.
A remarkable person on several levels. Curious and dedicated, passionate about the field, he dives headfirst into subjects that are new to him.
Expert witness · litigation
Retained as expert and counter-expert in criminal and civil matters, where complex technology has to be made clear to a judge and a lay court. High-profile mandates across cryptocurrency, telecommunications, positioning systems and class action.
Retained on a criminal matter turning on GPS and geofencing technology, Le Roux delivered testimony defense counsel called rigorous, clearly structured and accessible to a lay court. Every statement was verifiable against established scientific consensus and drawn from public, reputable sources, free of speculative or fringe positions. His analysis prevailed over the opposing expert from the geofencing firm wherever they disagreed. The judge accorded the testimony full weight, and the client was acquitted on the charge where his expertise was most critical.
